I am so excited to share my interview with you. Andrea Gabriel was my writing coach at The Narrative Project. She generously asked to interview me about my memoir, my experience with The Narrative Project, and my writing process.

A few quotes…

Here are a few quotes from the interview:

“Writing memoir is like therapy on steroids. It is not for the faint of heart.”

“I have literally been in tears because I am so grateful for The Narrative Project.”

Cami Ostman, the founder of The Narrative Project always says, “We have your back.”

My writing process

Writing my memoir is the first major writing project I have ever done. I have written the first manuscript and in March 2024 I will begin the revision process with The Narrative Project. The program is called, The Next Chapter.

Andrea was an amazing and incredibly kind writing coach. She helped me hone my writing skills and encouraged me to dig deeper into my memory to write better scenes with sensory details and dialogue. She is a champion for caring and tending to my creative self. It was such a gift to work with her and learn from her.
